Additionally, she shares a half-sisterhood with Jolie Jones, Martina Jones, Kenya Kinski-Jones, and Rachel Jones.

From her father’s side, Kidada is African-American; her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish. She received her diploma from Hollywood, California’s Fairfax High School.

Career

She attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, a for-profit college with its headquarters in California, but she dropped out after accepting an offer to work for Tommy Hilfiger, the fashion designer for the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation. Hilfiger started an advertising campaign that featured Kidada and a few of her friends, such as Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson, Tamia, and Aaliyah. For eight years, Kidada served as the fashion designer’s inspiration.

Her first job as a fashion designer was as a celebrity stylist for the magazine “Vibe,” which her father started in September 1993. When she dressed Michael Jackson in hip-hop attire for the 1995 “Vibe” cover, she attracted notice.

She created a clothing line for Snoop Dogg, a well-known American rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, businessman, TV personality, and actor, for three years. She also modeled at this period for a number of high-profile fashion publications, including as Elle, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar. She has also appeared in a number of ads and commercials.

In the meanwhile, she attempted acting and debuted in the science fiction teen horror movie “The Faculty.” In addition to Josh Hartnett and Elijah Wood, Kidada played the role of Venus in the movie. Despite appearing in TV teasers for the movie, her part was cut before the December 25, 1998, premiere of the movie.
